Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Alba collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: Name and email via Sign in with Apple.
Content: Chat messages, friendship evaluations, and journal entries.
No Analytics: No usage analytics or tracking data is collected.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the Alba experience (chat, test results, journal)
- Generate AI-powered friendship advice via Gemini
- We do NOT use your data for advertising or profiling
3. AI Processing
Alba uses Google's Gemini AI for chat features. Relevant conversation context is sent to Google's servers for processing. Google's AI services are subject to Google's privacy policy. You accept a disclaimer before using AI features.
4. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored locally on your device. Credentials are secured via Apple Keychain. Journal entries can be protected with PIN or Face ID. No data is sent to external servers except for AI chat processing.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data is only shared with:
- Apple (Sign in with Apple authentication)
- Google (AI chat processing via Gemini)
6. Your Rights
Delete your account and all data from Settings. All data deletion is permanent and immediate.
7. Children's Privacy
Alba is not intended for children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated through the app.
